The optional Gradlab Gds Cusum Control module allows binder, fines and filler content in Blacktop materials to be controlled statistically using cusum methods. When the cusum (green) mask cuts the cusum trend trace (blue) action for adjustment of binder is indicated.

Adoption of cusum can provide an efficient quality control feedback loop which requires less data points (to make a decision) than that in a traditional system relying on normal distribution analysis.
